Whose work?

“When people work, people work.
When people pray, God works.” – Hudson Taylor

Lord, we seek you with our whole hearts. We pray for revival in the city. Forgive us of our sins. Tonight, we lift up the Memphis Allies and the work of Youth Villages. Be present in their work. Soften hearts and embolden bodies to face the darkness. We know you are the Great Redeemer. We pray for protection over those navigating the adversary’s terrain, but we also proclaim the name of Jesus over them.

We pray for men and women to know You and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Too many of our neighbors live hopeless lives. Open our eyes to see them. May we love on and encourage someone who needs it tomorrow. May we be generous in blessing others. Lord, reveal to each one of us the work you need us to do. We want to enter into alignment with the Holy Spirit. May we remember Your promises as we go forth. Amen.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7
