“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
Lord, bless the work of Tricia and Lacey at Sista 2 Sista in Binghampton. They are loving their neighbors, women caught up in drugs and prostitution, and providing respite and Your truth. Protect them. Watch over them. Bring them resources to serve and Your hand to bless those they come into relationship with. Lord, soften hearts to Your word. Bring peace to the drop-in center. Bring warm meals and sustenance to the hungry. By Your name, cast out the demons of drug addiction. Lord, as their witness can attest, no one is too far gone. You listen to Your children’s cry and respond.
Bless their work and work of others in our community, seeking to bring light to the darkness. May they walk boldly, with God of the Angel Armies behind them. Lord, open our eyes to the work that needs to be done, that we may be Your hands and feet. Grant us strength to endure hardship and rejection so that Your name will be glorified and Your children redeemed. You are Christ the King and we call on You to be present in the streets of Memphis this very night. May Your Love conquer death. In Christ’s name, Amen.
