For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, “You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.” Deuteronomy 15:11
We may get north of freezing temps tomorrow. Memphis is covered in snow and wind chills are below zero. I’m thankful for those opening doors to those in worse-off conditions and checking on seniors. I had a neighbor check on me. Tonight, I’m sure Room in the Inn and the Hospitality Hub are full. I pray that those seeking shelter find it.
Lord, thank you for the https://www.hospitalityhub.org/ and those working to provide shelter for those without it. We lift up the volunteers and employees loving on those entering into their facility. Bless Kelcey Johnson with the resources and relationships needed to help those in her care. Lord, open our eyes to the needs of those around us. May we live boldly and step out in faith to help our fellow man. Lord, cover Your children with a hedge of protection from the evil one. Nudge us Lord to take action in Your name.
Lord, we pray for this cold to pass without damage. May the roads hold up and pipes not burst. We pray this for Memphis and the surrounding areas. We pray for patience for the interruption of our routine. Lord, may we take this time to seek You. In Christ’s name, amen.
