26 “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.[b]30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. – Matthew 10:26-31
This website was formed to pray for the city before we organized prayer walks in the city. The goal and hope is cover the entire city in prayer, united in Christ. We’ve had conversations and interest. I would be lying if I don’t sense both fear and excitement. What does revival look like?
That’s what we’re asking at my church. Many believers are asking for the same thing. With each day passing and new tragedies, we call upon God to deliver us. We want and desire to be part of His work.
So Lord, confirm our direction as we seek You while lifting up Memphis. Are our hearts in the right place? Is the Holy Spirit moving among Your people? How are we to bring light to the darkness?
Jesus tells the apostles, “You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Mat 10:22.) He doesn’t sugarcoat what’s ahead. As our friend Nathan Cook reminded us, we are going up against the gates of Hell. Actively seeking and building for the Kingdom is an act of rebellion in this world. We know our prize and the victory is already won.
In His Name.
