3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Lord, I pray for deliverance from my own sin. I can’t stand up another’s house until I’ve taken care of my own. May I not go to sleep on my sin. Open my eyes to the battle being fought daily. Work in me, that I may a be a faithful disciple and witness to the power of Christ. Forgive me, Lord, for I am a sinner.
I lift up this city to You Lord, that we awaken to the fact a spiritual war is going on and we are losing. I pray for the boldness of Paul. But Lord, as Paul notes, if we are to lean in and love on our neighbor, it must be done in love. Get our hearts right Lord. Equip us.
Lord, our young people that are lost are committing crimes. Bring peace to their minds and their homes. In Christ’s name, act. Amen.
